All in Vein edition by Mary Kipps Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Sink your teeth into these tasty tales. The humor is delightful and delicious.--Bruce
A series of clever vignettes that provide a hilarious look into the mind of a vampire lost in our frenzied, modern times. It is a very entertaining read.
This is cleverly done! Victor is a vampire, but a clueless one when confronted with the
confusing (to him) scenarios of modern times. The author's play on words is rich.
A highly recommended spoof.
This book of short, pithy vignettes is a wonderful read. Victor the vampire is destined to take his place with Scrooge, Becky Sharp and Falstaff as one of the most lovable baddies of literature. The hero of this story, who keeps trying to satisfy his strange dietetic needs in a complex, bewildering America, really grew on me. I began to root for him in spite of everything and to hope that something would develop between him and the beautiful woman detective who was pursuing him.
All in all, I enthusiastically recommend this little book. You won't be disappointed.
This was a first for me from this author. My only complaint is that it was so short. I'd love to read a full novel of Victor!
If you set you expectation to read a few vignettes, this book will entertain you and far exceed your expectations. The more I read about Victor and his struggles with today's modern times, the more I liked him. This book is a fun, fast, and joyful read. Don't be surprised if you find yourself smiling or even laughing out loud as Victor gets himself in trouble trying to exist in a world that has advanced well beyond what he was accustom to . Each vignette is a joy to read by itself, but the set of them in this book will leaving you wishing for more.
If you expect to just enjoy the read and be entertained, you will not be disappointed.
A really cute, witty look at the bloodsuckers! A fast read leaving you with a wish for more. I understand Mary is writing a sequel -- can't wait!
